Boeing incentive bill heads to Nixon

JEFFERSON CITY – By a 127 to 20 vote, the Missouri House gave final approval on Friday to legislation that would expand state tax incentives in an attempt to land The Boeing Co.’s new 777x production line.

The legislation — which moved with extraordinary speed in a building where such policy could easily take weeks — now heads to the desk of Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon, who is expected to sign it ahead of Boeing’s Dec. 10 deadline for states to respond to its request for proposal.
