– The grand jury investigating the shooting of Michael Brown was still deliberating on Friday night and has yet to reach a decision, according to a source with knowledge of the planning surrounding the announcement.
A spokesman for St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The continued deliberations come as the timing of their announcement moves even more imminent. The public timeline set forth by McCulloch indicated the grand jury would make its decision between the middle and end of November.
On Friday, McCulloch’s office began contacting reporters about scheduling details for a press conference in which they will reveal the grand jury’s decision. They also set up a private website from which they plan to disseminate the information to journalists.
