– A leadership PAC for U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner raised more than $104,000 last year, as it prepares to help Republicans in Missouri and nationally in elections later this year.
On Wednesday, the St. Louis Republican’s political action committee Ann PAC reported that it had raised $37,150 in the final quarter of the year, ending with more than $75,400 on hand. The numbers were made available in its quarterly filing with Federal Ethics Commission obtained by PoliticMo.
Wagner’s own campaign committee ended the year with more than $1.026 million in the bank, more than all other candidates in Missouri except Attorney General Chris Koster, a Democrat who is planning a run for governor in 2016. She has the most in her account for anyone running on this fall’s ballot, St. Louis Public Radio reported on Wednesday.
Wagner – who was elected as the leader of her freshman class after being elected in 2012 – is not facing any serious opposition for reelection. Instead, she plans to use some of her large war chest to help other candidates in races across the state and country in efforts to maintain and expand the GOP’s control of the House.
