JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri House Speaker Pro Tem Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg, is urging his lawmakers to tighten up their messaging as they move into an election year and go head-to-head with Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon.
Part of that, his office said in a memo obtained by PoliticMo, is targeted Tweets.
“As promised the Pro Tem office is working hard to stay on top of messaging for this session,” a Hoskins aide wrote in a memo to Republican lawmakers and staff. “Attached you will find a sample press release as well as some tweets for you to use and edit as you see fit.”
Six of the suggested Tweets were critical of Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon.
