– Sometimes, Attorney General Chris Koster just needs a small order of fries or a McChicken.
After raising more than $505,500 in the second quarter of 2013 – some three years before he could appear on the ballot in 2016 to seek the Democratic nomination for governor – Koster treated himself and campaign staff to nearly $70 in meals from McDonald’s.
In the previous quarter, the two-term attorney general spent nearly $50 on 14 trips to the fast food joint. In total, Koster’s campaign has noted 30 trips to the establishment in the past six months.
In December, Koster’s campaign received $1,000 from McDonald’s, in addition to $50,000 from William McGeeham, a Missouri McDonald’s licensee.
