— Former U.S. Ambassador John Bolton will be in St. Louis on Wednesday to help raise funds for state Auditor Tom Schweich’s 2014 campaign.

Bolton, who was served as ambassador to the United Nations and as a special ambassador in Afghanistan, is set to be the featured speaker at an 8:00 a.m. breakfast at the St. Louis Club.

Tickets to the breakfast, hosted by former gubernatorial candidate and St. Louis businessman Dave Spence and his wife Suzie, cost $1,500.

Schweich, a former Bush administration ambassador, himself, has yet to see any opponent. Talk of an opponent was largely absent when Democrats met for their annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner earlier this month in St. Louis.
