After a night of destructive protests in Ferguson following the revelation of a grand jury’s decision to not indict the white police officer who shot Michael Brown, a young black man, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon announced Tuesday he would be tripling the number of National Guard troops protecting government institutions in the city.
