“4 G’s” out, “100 Great Ideas” in for House Republicans

Move Speaker Tim Jones’s “4 G’s” plan out of the way, Speaker-elect John Diehl is moving in with his own “100 Great Ideas” initiative.

Diehl, who House Republicans elected House Speaker in waiting this spring, announced his new plan to touch base with Missourians about what they think is needed in state government. Diehl’s campaign described it as “an effort to encourage citizen involvement in state government by seeking new, innovate ideas from the people of Missouri about how to improve our state.”

“The 100 Great Ideas for Missouri initiative is an effort to cultivate new, innovative ideas about how to improve government from those that know best; the people of Missouri,” Diehl said in a statement. “With innovation moving Missouri’s farms, factories and family businesses forward, it is time we use those same creative solutions to improve the way our state government works.”

Jones had his multiple “Speakers tours” to accompany his policy agendas, and Diehl is expected to do the same. His campaign said there will be “100 Great Ideas” events across the state “in the coming weeks.”
