Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon announced his final actions on bills on Monday – vetoing more bills in one session than in any other year of his tenure.

Nixon signed a bill Monday that would require the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to review its newly-adopted Common Core standards while vetoing a bill that would allow school districts to allow teachers to carry concealed weapons in schools.
